Ash Wood

I may have some dowels around 1.4" x about 30". I'll check tomorrow.

Yer looking to make some shafts?

If so, Mase, AZ name, (Roy Mason) in Canada has a nice stock of ash shaft wood that came from the Dufferin Factory.

I bought some decent ones from him. I don't know what he has on hand but maybe he can even fix you up with the squares or dowels.

Mine had a bit of a taper when I received them.

He reads the threads a bit so a good chance that he will see this anyway.

I still have a bunch of the Dufferin ash shafts. They are 28" long and very tight grained.

Yep. The tapered ones that I received obviously need a few more passes but from what I can see with a couple of passes, the shafts are pretty decent quality.

With that order, the other repairman in town got some of the Dufferin aluminum joints that he needed for a couple of Duff repairs.

I still have a ton of old Duff bar cues. I have cut them down and stripped the finish. Any of them are going to make nice conversions.

The other repair guy in town uses only his own Duff conversions for playing cues. I have lots but the other guy is running out so he still has your contact info.

"SHADOWMOSS" (his AZ name) has undoubtedly the very best Ash for shafts - he was at the Hopkins Show this year with several bundles of 1" squares . . . send him a message I am sure he can provide you with what you are looking for.
