Whoo hoo, I am so happy that we have a pro event coming to Phoenix. The Desert Shootout Classic April 24-27th 2008. This will be a UPA sactioned event and $25k added, this will bring the big boys to town. It is being promoted by a new promoter named Chuck Bobbit, I have spoken a few times with Chuck and he is a real nice guy and has only the best intentions for the sport. I congratulate him and also thank him for the effort he has gone to to make this happen. As some of you know I do a little promoting myself with the Pros and hope to also bring a Major event to the Phoenix area and so I know the hard work it has been for him to make this happen and the risks involved. I can't wait and I hope that everyone who is a pool enthusiast will get behind this event and support it and maybe we will be able to get more events on the UPA Tour here and in the surrounding areas. There are also some other things that are going on in conjunction with the tournament, I have pasted it here so you can read it for yourself if you did not get it.
