You might as well go to forums about football, baseball, racing, and pretty much anything and everything under the sun and tell them that as long as they're not playing in said sport, they should all just shut up. The express purpose of these forums is to DISCUSS issues pertaining to the subject of the forum. In this case it's pool and we, as fans, are doing what fans of other sports on other forums do... we discuss the good and the bad.

If you hate pool so much as to kill the reputation of the sport I enjoy, Take up some other sport.

So we're the ones giving the sport a bad name, not the snake oil salesman that is 40+ days in arrears to pay the players? :rolleyes: All we can do is talk, we can't make KT's business decisions but we can certainly discuss what we know of them and critique and/or commend them. Anyone, regardless of the business, that uses things people talk about on a forum as a reason for closing up shop is nothing more than a chicken sh!t liar that refuses to take responsibility for their actions and bad decision making.

It would seem that you're not cut out for internet message boards, you might want to re-think visiting here.

O.K. I thought about it and will stick around for the fun. Sorry that I like pool and the people that participate. Most are great folks. discussion is good but some take it to far.

In a nutshell.....

this game and community of participants has carried a stigma for a long time that we are made up of thieves and scoundrels and The media attention that has come about with IPT has helped change that.The stigma is caused by people like KT who make big promises and then can't back them up. The players might eventually get paid, but they were promised immediate payment. Mission statement failed.

The Only ones that have a right to be so vocally hostile are the players that are affected. The players can't speak up because they might be kicked off the tour or taken to court. They will do their talking when everything is said and done.

I could care less about KT and his business ethics.Then you sir are the exact kind of blind sheep people like KT like to grift and take to the cleaners. I have some very rare expensive left handed spoons if you're interested.

I just don't like all of this negative publicity that promotes a doom and gloom pool world.There wouldn't be doom and gloom publicity if there wasn't doom and gloom on the horizon.

The IPT is an entertainment venture, and as such it is designed to entertain we the fans. It is not designed just to help players get rich like KT would have everyone believe.

My respect goes to the Players that are quietly waiting. True Proffesionals.The players are quietly waiting because they have no other choice. You don't think they're talking amongst themselves, or even posting on this forum?.

That supposes that the honest man has the money to do so which may or may not be the case here. But the FACT is that various IPT officials simply decided to lie about the circumstances of the payments to stall for time.

In my opinion, that was just inexcusable. If things didn't go the way you expected and you couldn't come up with the money on time...you stand up and tell the truth and promise that you will do everything possible to remedy the situation.

Had they done that, these threads may never have been started and if they were the content would be hugely less negative toward the IPT.

LOL, I can't help but chuckle when I see people saying that the players are perfectly ok with this and if they're not complaining, we shouldn't be complaining. There are a couple that I know that have taken a wait & see approach and aren't too terribly worried about it. There's others that are very much upset and yes they do talk about it but only to people they can trust to vent their thoughts too. I know this because my ears have been used as a sounding board the last 40+ days by a few of the players.

What a ridiculous attitude. This happens to be a public forum under the control and direction of the good people at AZ and its specific purpose is to provide a forum for the exchange of views between ALL registered members.

If AZ wanted to start a forum solely for IPT players it could do so.

So, if you don't like what is being posted in these threads...it is NOT for others to SHUT UP it is for you to BUTT OUT.

I am glad you are having fun. Your opinion can be expressed. But, I believe that branding everybody that is not in agreement with the IPT as "negative" is counterproductive and leads the argument nowhere except to a fruitless namecalling endeavor where nobody solves anything. There have been several suggestions that have been made by many people that would have served the IPT well if they had opened their ears and shut their mouths. The IPT is not a perfect entity. No tour is perfect. When you shut yourself off from suggestions that are being given from wise, experienced individuals, IMO, you are being foolish. Now you can twist that any way that you would like, but it is true and that analysis is shared by many that have seen other tours come and go in the past.

The IPT has made the same mistakes that other tours have made. If they were wise, they would remove their blinders and come to the realization that the method that they are currently operating under is not leading them to profitability. I have been told in the past that profitability doesn't matter to the IPT because Kevin has billions of dollars and he loves pool and he loves pool players. Surely he will contnue to pay the big bucks regardless of whether or not the IPT turns a profit. What happened to that argument?

I have been told that myself and others are sore because we're not part of the IPT either as players or staff. That complete and utter BS. Its HS too and Kevin knows that. Instead of addressing the issues that have been brought up repeatedly, all he can come back with is namecalling and empty extravagant promises.

My position is this:
Why fight with him? Let him do what he wants and I wish him the best of luck with it.

If he thinks the rest of us have no business being with the IPT, then we'll just pool our resources together and start something else separate of the IPT. I have no problem with that. Do you? I hope you don't because we're going to have a lot of fun doing this and we have no intention of competing with Kevin or his tour. I'm not goingto waste my time. We'll have a "pool" tour, not a "show up and get your money tour". We love pool and we want to create something that pool can be proud of. We want something that will make the entire industry prosperous, not just a select chosen few. If you view that as being negative, good for you.

With no one paid yet and 7-10 more days before the next announcement, I suspect that everyone is tapping their feet, twiddling their thumbs, humming a tune and simply killing time while bored. I mean, even the popcorn is getting stale.
I've been changing avatars 4-5 times a day to keep the hardcore 'refreshers' entertained.
