Last night my back went into severe spasms. I became very well acquainted with my floor. I'm out of work for a week and won't be playing pool for who knows how long. Anytime I see a thread about someone with back problems I try to give any suggestion that could be helpful along with a lot of sympathy. I just ordered one of those cue extensions I saw on here, but it looks like I won't be using it for a while. I'll be watching the forum pretty much constantly to keep myself entertained. But . . .

I'LL GET TO WATCH THE THREE DAY MATCH OF THE CENTURY BETWEEN A LEDGEND, AND A LEDGEND IN THE MAKING.

Thanks to Justin for convenient timing

Spasms are terrible. People don't know how crippling they can be until they experience them. They're chronic for me-finally got some massage therapy and chiropractic referrals from my doctor for it and it's still not fixed after several months of constant visits. Chiro says i'm a huge challenge and doesn't know why she can't fix me. Massage therapist says my muscles are too stubborn and insists on still going to see if she can work out the knots. Good luck, try to get some treatment if you haven't already

Stretching, exercise and keep the massage therapist. The chiro is a waste of time.

Thanks for the kind words. I hope you feel better. I have a bad back as well and it does suck.

Chiropractors aren't much use for spasms. Try an Osteopath, that's who I've been seeing recently. This started Wednesday night and since I saw the DO yesterday I haven't had any spasms and was able to shower dress and put on shoes and socks this morning

For the taller boys with bad backs and home tables, get a lift kit for your table:) I lifted mine 6". It allows me to play longer before the pain gets to me.

I had never been to a chiro in my life until recently. I know there's a lot of controversy about the effectiveness of spinal manipulations but I thought i'd give it a try. I feel like she knows my body better than most places I've been to, and it's helped with some other stuff like whiplash through the ski season. But yeah, definitely not going long term. It's expensive and my insurance only covers so many per year.

Never heard of Osteo but thanks-i'll check it out. The left side of my neck will lock up so bad that I can't even turn my head. One time it happened while I was driving about thirty minutes from home. The second I stepped out of my car pain was shooting from my foot all the way to my head so bad I couldn't even walk or stand on my feet. I thought I was going to pass out just walking to the bed. A lot of people don't know what it's like to have a spasm so bad you can't even stand up. I'm an athletic guy in my twenties and feel like an old man

i'm the king of bad backs on AZB, welcome to the floor, you will come to love it after a while. I hope you dont go thru 5% of what I have, ruined my life.
