I want one of these! On their website they offer a McDermott cue that has their gold elephant logo and “A.E. Schmidt” embossed on the leather wrap. $675.00 and it looks cool. Please buy 'em up so they run out of them before I spend $675.00 on another cue.

you might as well buy one now for $675, it'll be cheaper than buying it later once they're gone for $1675 from a flipper

Looks like the traditional McDermott but "fatter flare" vs custom cues (not sure what A.E. Schmidt's butt size specs are). Plus the decals are "eh" and I'll pass on the G-core shaft (McDermott factory maple or other factory maple shafts please). I would take a Viking Carmeli (has inlays) and ask for a standard Viking maple shaft for playability and might even bring the price down...

McDermott G-Core painted and with decal = $300. McDermott G-Core painted and with decal that brings back wonderful memories = Priceless.

Definitely not a mistake.

My first pool table was a Schmidt I bought for $250 off FB marketplace.

I immediately started emailing Stephanie Schmidt asking questions about the table as if I had just acquired the third table ever built by her great grandfather. Instead of the 1994 Gatsby that was built under the watchful eye of her dad.

Yet they answered every question and offered up helpful suggestions and in the end converted me to a lifelong fan of the brand.

I would have purchased the cue if it had been made more to looks like a cue from 20's/30's than just a modern banger.

I bought it because I liked it. I wont use it. Bought a case with it and thats where its staying. A good friend of mine liked Schmidt tables. He was a good player too.
