Attention DC area AZers

Is there any interest in a gathering? My friend is a part of a poker forum similar to AZ and every once in a while, a bunch of poker players in the DC area get together for a "fun" game. They all play really good poker, but this game is designed for drinking, cussing, spitting, and, as they put it, "donking" it up. I'm thinking the same is necessary for us pool players. A night where we just get together and beat the balls around, drink some brews, share war stories, and meet each other. Maybe even Keith McCready or Mike Davis would be interested in coming downtown to join us since they live right in the area??? What do you say, anyone interested?

A few of us got together last weekend in Herndon, VA. We were thinking of starting a monthly get together with DC metro area players. Icon of Sin is in Baltimore and wants to do it too. We were thinking of doing a regular monthly thing after the SB Expo. MD., VA., and DC. We even got some redneck chick in West by God Virginia that wants in. Says she has fat hair. I think she may have a big head!:D
I got to tell ya, some of these guys are looking for action. They don't like me, I don't gamble.

hey man I'd be up for it...actually I'd posted something a few days ago about trying to get something together next weekend. When/where?

I'm up for it. Here's one option: I happen to own a VERY CHALLENGING table (not because the pockets are tight, but because of the angle they're cut--they spit balls out left and right). I'd be happy to have y'all over at my house if you dare venture out to the 'burbs! I'd love to see how some GOOD players handle the table! Mike Davis made it look too damn easy once, so I'm starting to realize it's me, and not the table! This Saturday's open, anytime (well, I like to sleep in, so not 8:AM...)

I'd be likely to come, particularly with a bit more notice than there was for the DC meetup last weekend.

Cory, last weekend was just a little impromptu thing until we can have a regular schedual. You are correct, it was a very short notice.

Egg is coming on Saturday afternoon/evening. So if anyone is interested to see how good Egg really plays, now's your chance!

I'm up for something at Beetle's place tomorrow...anyone else interested in his offer? I think he lives in potomac, md - which is close to the 270/495 intersection
 
OK, that's Black-Balled and Egg McDogit, so far at my place tomorrow. I've probably got room in the driveway for four-five more cars.

We'll have pizzas. I also have the entire Strickland-Efren Color of Money match we can have playing in the background... I can crank up the Sirius Satellite radio... Should be fun unless we get dumped on by the snow gods...:)

The "snow gods" are supposed to give my area 6 to 8 this weekend. :mad: I'm making chili & staying in the house. I would love to come over & shoot some wkend... sounds like you've got the hook-up! I'm digging the pool table, satellite radio, pool videos... next you're going to tell us you have a swimming pool :rolleyes: LOL, and if you do have one....FYI...PARTY at Beetle's house this summer! :p

Nope, no swimming pool--you got me on that one! Stay warm and safe up there. Several people from down here are going to make the trek up to Drexeline's, but they may be in for a nasty trip :eek: if the weather materializes.
