Anybody out there need any measuring tools (mics, calipers indicators, squares etc etc etc)?
I used to be a machinist about 10 -12 years ago. I sold all my tools when I married and relocated. A couple of years ago I thought I was making a career change so I rebought a crap load of tools (I now know Im not going back into machine work). I would prefer to trade some tools for a custom sneaky pete with some ringwork etc.
Everything I have is either brand new or in excellent condition mostly Starrett and Mitutoyo etc.
Anybody interested, let me know what you are looking for and Ill let you know if I have it and we can go from there (sorry, I dont have time to inventory a 10 drawer chest with alot of stuff in it)

I kind of understand not wanting to inventory everything but, listing 20 - 25 key tools might not be a bad idea. Might just help your cause.

Here is a list of some of the tools.....

  1. Mitutoyo outside mics 0-6" brand new
  2. Starrett 0-6" depth mic brand new
  3. Mitutoyo .025 travel indicator b.n.
  4. Interapid test indicator b.n.
  5. Starrett 18" combination square very goo condition (scale shows some staining)
  6. Brown and Sharpe 4 piece precision square set b.n.
  7. Mitutoyo vernier caliper and 6" dial caliper. dial is b.n. vernier is excellent
  8. 2-3 1" travel indicators (1 is an old starrett, all have good movement in the gears) on mighty mags
  9. SPI inside mic set 0-12" (great for using as a transfer tool"
  10. Starrett adjustable parallels excellent condition
  11. Starrett small hole gages (2 sets ball and flat bottom both in excellent-new condition)
  12. Starrett telescoping gages 0-6" b.n.
  13. Starrett thread gages (acme and 60 degree)
  14. Starrett outside and spring calipers (old, but i cleaned them up very well and would say v.g.c.)

This is off the top of my head that I KNOW are in the box, there is alot of small tools also, tons of scribes, Starrett punch sets etc etc etc in new or excellent condition.
Nothing is engraved, I have written my name on some of the outside boxes, but that should come off with alcohol or fingernail polish remover etc.
