Some people you just can't help, man. I called the gentleman you staked well before the application deadline for the IPT. My wife and I offered to create and submit a professional, exciting resume for him. He declined and said he had a friend who would do it for him. The friend(?) did nothing.
I don't know whether my recommendations carry any weight with Kevin or not but the other two players I helped did get selected.
Didn't your horse win free entry fees into the remaining qualifiers by beating Sigel at a qualifier that you put up the money for? If so, it seems to me that the $5,500 this player got for bonuses should have been handled like this: You get your roughly $2,500 back that you're out of pocket. Then he goes to Europe for that qualifier and you guys have the same arrangement as before. The extra money could be used for expenses.
Of course I called the same player in time and told him he needed to get a passport. I doubt he did that. When you won't quit gambling for only a little while to take care of your business, there's something really wrong with the situation.
Yeah, I've been a lifelong gambler but I always had a sense of self, family and honor. Anyway I give up on players like the one we're discussing. They can break someone else's heart.

Hey Grady

In case you're wondering, I did respond to this post right away. It was a PM though as the subject matter was really not for public discussion.
I appreciate what Grady had to say about a delicate situation and let him know how I handled it.

99% of pool players cannot manage money or time. Grady & Jay with all their years around pool should easily realize this.
