I regret to inform that Keith's grandad, Mr. Charlie Howell (Keith's namesake "Keith Charlie Josey"), has past away at the young age of 97. Mr. Howell, among many things in his great life, was actively involved in the Masons and Shriners for 60 years. He lived his life like their moto, with "brotherly love, relief and truth". He had a passion for family, fishing, cooking and of course playing pool. Keith used to love his grandads visits to the shop, always one to remind Keith of his talent for cues as well his gracious nature with people and to never sell either short. His spirit that seemed to draw the most out of those around him will be missed greatly but will never be forgotten. i would ask that those of faith to say a prayer for the safe return to the father, his child Charlie Howell.

for the next week or so responses from calls or email to Keith and Sherri may be delayed due to the family arrangements they must regretfully manage. Keith and Sherri want to apologize for any inconvenience this may put on those who this may affect and their responses will return to a more normal state as soon as possible.

I hate to hear this for the entire Josey family. I have met Keith and his family on a few occasions and even been to his shop in Savannah, GA. The Josey's are one of the most hospitable and nicest families you will ever meet. My condolences to them for their loss.

I recently bought a Josey ebony/ivory Q here on AZ and had several phone calls/emails with Sherri and Keith. They are great people and I sent them an email offering my thoughts and prayers. I wish them the best.

My condolences as well to the Josey family. Sounds to me like a life well spent. I like to hear about people like that. So I also congratulate the Josey's on having had such a wonderful Patriarch for so long a time. I'm sure they will carry on the tradition that Charlie created for them.
