Austrian Snooker Open 2010

Nice photos Markus. I especially like the one of Shaun Murphy down on the shot. If you ever want to give someone an example of the textbook snooker stance it's that one.

And it's worth paying close attention to his cue action too. There is nobody who cues straighter. His cue glides back and forth like it runs on a fixed trammel. Mind you, I did see a slight hint of a cue wobble once though, but it was soon corrected. I went straight down the shop and bought a new telly.

Thanks, Markus. I'll be curious to know if your site sees more hits today as a consequence of Michaela's appearance.

So what can you tell us about the Austrian snooker scene? I know that's an open-ended question, but I'm curious to know whether snooker is becoming more or less popular in Austria, who the rising stars may be, whether tables can be found outside major cities, etc.

On another note, what camera and lenses are you using?

Sorry, I am not that much in snooker (Pool guy). I will ask a friend tomorrow, maybe he can answer some of your questions.

I use a Canon 7D and a 40D with the new Canon 70-200 2.8 IS (razor sharp) and some fast primes (135 2.0 and 50 1.4). No monopod ;-)

Thanks for the follow-up. If you'd like, your friend could send me an email in German and (if it's okay) I could post the translation here. But then his English may well be better than my German.
