Authentic Rambow for Sale

I have a Rambow built in 1962 for sale. I am accepting offers at this time, anyone who is seriously interested please email me at nednoon@comcast.net.

This is one of his last cues built with a lot of detail and inlays. It also contains my name and Hermans name on the joint. It also has some slight water damage.
 
Rambow Cue

I have seen and shot with this cue. It's very solid and straight.

It is very simular to the cue on Wu's web site.

Wu states his Rambow is one of the fanciest ever made. This cue could be a match. I have even sent Wu photographs and he agreed.

Ned Noon is a good player and a great guy!

My girlfriend took these with her cell phone camera, we are travelling right now that is all I have for now. I had a collector take some really nice photos of the cue, once i get those I will send to serious interested parties.

Who it has been played with and against

BTW this Rambow was personally ordered with Rambow down in his shop in 1962, both my dad’s and mine. I have also played with Fatty with this cue and many others such as Wimpy, Cornbread, Baby Face, Boston Shorty, Weany Beany. Harold Worst, Joe Balsasis, Cowboy Jimmy, Cicero and many more. I have photos to back that up that are at an extra charge. 

Blue Book estimates the Rambow somewhere around $14K, this Rambow trully has some great history.

I am selling the cues for $12,500. Research indicates less than six Rambows made were like mine. I came down on the bluebook price because of the water damage. The damage is not that great and it still shoots great!

I keep one by my toilet to wipe with. Nice Rambos $1400-$1700 when available.
Well that's the Nick book! Bogie sold one last year for $600 !

Since you have the BB, send the cue to the "authenticator extrodanaire" of Rambows. He will ever write you a small booklet on your cue. He will value it for you and everything (for a small fee). Once he does that, put it up for sale and see two things.. where did it sell at in comparison to his value and the blue book value. Thats why we are so lucky to have these professionals. :rolleyes:

BTW it looks like the joint is polished. I would have left it in its original state to match the rest of the cue. That could be a selling variable.

My advice would be for you to quickly take any good offer over $5000-$6000. Despite what the BB says, Rambows just do not pull super big bucks because once you get into that price range, the number of potential buyers is real small anyway, but there are a lot more makers they would rather spend that kind of money on. At any rate, I'm sure that would be a windfall if you've had it all these years.

P.S. Wonderful cue by the way. Have you pimped it out to Dick at billiardcue.com. He loves this kind of historical stuff and is a big buyer.

I still have the cue for sale but I have tow people who are very fond of it right now and I am working with them on the sale of it.

I dont think it would be right for me to take less that what it is worth seeing as the value of these things get ruin by quick hasty sales, no different than real estate.

I don't think Sean was telling you to accept less than what it is worth or make a hasty sale. You should value his opinion as to its value as he is in touch with the current market. The BB is a guidline, but by all means, does not necessarily reflect the actual value of the cue in the market today. There are some smart and knowledgable people that have given you an opinion. It would be a mistake to think that just because it is less than the BB that they have other motives, or are suggesting a fire sale. I truly hope you get a fair price for the cue as it has a great history, but temper your decision with the information gleaned from this forum in the spirit it was intended.
