Avondale AZ, any pool halls??

Well, I got to check out one of the pool rooms in Sun City and I have to admit it was pretty amazing! The one on 99th Ave & Bell. They had 3 - 3 Cushion tables in perfect shape along with 3 Snooker Tables (5x10's) plus about 15-20 GC's in very very good shape. There were balls on every single table and only 1 guy (Larry) playing when I stopped in.

They have a pretty good deal to use the center. $210/year and they get much more than all the pool time they want. (Bowling, Shuffle Board, Gym, Library, Art Studio, etc.)

I'll go and check out the other one in the following days and they mentioned that they are almost done with a 3rd one that is supposed to be the best of the 3.

Thanks for the info!

Is it open to us young guys too, I am only 30.

You must be a Home Owner to get a Recreation Card for these communities. Also there is Sunflower RV Resorts, El Mirage RV Resort, Happy Trails RV Resort, Arizona Traditions, and abut 10 other places in the WEST Valley that are 55+ Communities all that have Pool Rooms For MEMBER, and Members Guests. Got out to Mesa and the East Valley and the NUMBER is like 15-20 of these places.

Dave Clayton does most of the work recovering the Tables. Some of the places even have WiFi in the rooms.

I'm right there with ya at 33. You can play with any member and we know a bunch of them. San Jose Dick, Jerry Briesith, Shirt Pocket Bob, Clayton, Coco, etc. etc. You just have to go with or meet with any other member. You are free to check out the places and walk around. Everyone was really really nice and I think making new friends to play with would be too easy.

I already have a couple games lined up. And the room on 99th & Bell is only a few miles from my house. I'm going to go back and snap some room photo's with my good camera that I'll share with everyone.

Most of the retirees will not gamble, and if they do it is for Quarter a Game, or a Buck A Set. So you need not worry about robbing SS checks, as there people for the most part are TIGHT with GREEN.

I stopped in at the other room on Thunderbird tonight on my way home from work. 12 GC's, 3 - 3C and 3 Snooker tables. I wasn't quite as impressed with this room as the other one. It was a rectangle room with bare cold brick walls. The tables looked alright but looked pretty old.

There were 2 guys playing on Table one and didn't look to be too much of a threat to any of the pockets. :)

I have to remember my camera one of these times!
