Awesome!!!

So long as he dodges Manny it doesn't matter what his record is.

the first negotiation fell thru when pacquiao would not agree to the mediator's conditions. they decided to go to a mediator and floyd accepted the result but pacquiao would not. floyd agreed to the 14 days before the fight, pacquiao wants 24. so who's dodging who? and remember too that before they went into mediation, roach said they need a cut off date of at least 7 days before the fight. mediator gave them 14 instead. so im sure manny has his reasons and if he didnt want to do it then thats fine but dont put that on floyd. in the 2nd round of negotiations, bob arum and top rank lied to make floyd look bad. arum said fight was ok to go and manny has signed on, only thing left was for floyd to sign. floyd missed the deadline and arum made it seem like floyd dodged it. a few days later, de la hoya came out and said that there was never an agreement in place. arum said ross greenberg, hbo sports president at the time acted as the go between. ross greenberg came out and said he acted as an intermediary but the talks never came close because manny wouldnt agree to the drug testing stuff which contradicts what arum had said. 2 months ago, a year after the negotiations ended, michael koncz who is a top advisor with manny, came out and admitted that manny never agreed to the fight conditions which is why neither he nor mayweather agreed to the fight. bob arum lied about it and put the countdown clock on toprank's webpage to put pressure on floyd and make him look bad because he has had a personal agenda against floyd ever since floyd left toprank to join de la hoya at golden boy.

stop making random stuff up because u read 1 article about it. the negotiations fell thru cuz neither side could find common ground. if manny wanted to fight floyd as badly as u guys want to believe then he would be more accomodating cuz its not like floyd's making an unreasonable request. floyd asks this for all of his fights and no one else has had a problem. so u can sit there and pretend like u know about whats going on in their negotiations because u only read what bob arum is saying but at the end of the day none of us know what the deal is. why does floyd have to bend to manny's demands if manny isnt required or expected to do the same? if u say floyd is dodging manny then i'll say that manny is dodging the drug test.

also, u guys make it sound like he's been fighting bums the whole time. perhaps u forgot about a guy named juan manuel marquez. this is a boxer who fought manny real close twice. result was a draw and a split decision for manny. both of those fights could have gone either way for both fighters. the point is that it goes to show how good marquez is. when marquez fought mayweather, he was the second best pound for pound fighter in the world. right up there with manny. yet mayweather manhandled him and made him look like an amateur by keeping him to a 13% connect rate on 593 punches. and this was after a long lay off too. he also put up his undefeated record against hatton's record as well. dude isnt dodging anyone, but he wont fight unless both sides can come to an agreement.

ESPN stated that Floyd demanded drug testing because Manny seems to go up in weight without any body fat and still retain his speed and power. Do we hear Human growth hormones???
I've been watching boxing for longer then some of you have been alive and one of my best friends is in training for a heavyweight fight as i type this. He was WBO heavyweight champ a few years ago. Works out in the same gym as Cory Spinx.
So when we tell you it is Manny who is ducking Floyd you can bet the house on it.

All this boxingology discussion in a pool forum, wth...

But I did like your post. Sounds like you keep up with boxing pretty well. These promoters know how to raise the ante in an upcoming bout.
Maryweather and Pacquiao would be a great fight.

Like Falcon Eddie (who knows how to throw a punch or two) said, I don't like the attitude of Maryweather so I would like to see him get more than a split lip. Look at the way Maryweather treated his own father. If my son talked to me like that, they might have to put me in jail or confine me to a straight jacket for life.

Hope none of the haters try to get this thread moved. I seldom go anywhere else except the Main Forum.

Carry on, plenty to see. Talk about see. when is HBO putting up the re-broadcast?

Ross Greenburg already settled the question of who ran away from the last negotiation, here's what he had to say:

“Both times, the fight was very close to being made. And, the second time around, all that I can say is that you would have to ask Floyd Mayweather, Jr. why the fight wasn’t made,” Greenburg tells, as quoted by Satterfield. To this day, I really don’t know why he decided that he didn’t want to fight anymore in the fall.”

P.S. Drug testing was never an issue. Floyd just didn't wanna fight Pac simple as.
