This is on the way. I have been waiting for quite a while. Well worth the wait!
All the joints are screwed on. The ivory joint and butt as well are capped. The black linen joint collar and butt cap are also threaded on and glued.

Brief description. All the points are even, top and bottom including the spacings at the base. All layers of the veneers are of even length ie. the blacks, greens, blues, thin naturals in between the major veneers are all of same height and pointy as pointy can get. The amboynas are all even and the spacings and overlap with the main points all come to a point at the same level.

The main inlay which was scrimmed is the sun with 8 rays and all those rays come to a point and were inlayed in hand cut cavities with "0" glue lines.
5 veneers. ebony not ebony dyed veneer for the outermost. .9mm blue, .25mm maple, .9mm green and .25mm maple around the point stock.

Wow! Great looking points- I too cannot wait to see the whole cue in one shot.

Thank you Don. I'm sorry for the poor quality photos but I'll see if I can get Linds to help me out on that one. The wrap sure worked out great with the amboyna tones. BTW, the JPs are done and so is the embroidery on the presentation case. I guess it's time for me to say good-bye. sniff..sniff..

Glad you're back from Europe, Zack. I need your address as I can't find the e-mail that contains it.

Thanks Gforce. Wait 'til you see yours!

Edwin,

I'm actually not back from Europe until next week but I get a chance to get online from time to time when we're not traveling. I will send you an e-mail with my address as it's changed anyhow.

Outdoor ambient lighting and fill.

BJX handle into AzB4. Don, did you say that Kokopelli is some sort of a fertility guy. Maybe this'll spawn more ERs there.

isnt Kokopelli the fertility god?? not sure thou..

**btw very nice cue master!!!!

Kokopeli is an ancient trickster, fertility, and rain god, a sort of southwest American version of the Green Man. In the spring this little figure with the hunched back plays his flute and encourages the rain to turn the desert hills green once again, hence, the blue, green and maple veneers.

Above all the Kokopelli symbol is an icon of play and whimsy, abundance and sexuality. He is an image of the musician, the dancer, the flirt and the bringer of great fortune. He is a ladies man and a man’s man. It’s no wonder that he holds a sense of wonder and mystery in our minds.
