AZB Cue Calendar

Great idea.

Looking forward to this project, let me know how I can help. I can offer monetary assistance, but my collection is pretty humble at best.

I Have A Friend That Has A Great Assembly Of James White's Cues. He Has Also Agreed To Provide Photos.

If its the same friend I am thinking of, don't let him take pics....cause he can't ha, ha! I will see him next week so will take some when I am there.

Thanks to all

I am so happy with the response I have gotten. I am in the process of getting pics and access to pics and the ability to have pics taken of cues. I hope to have "meet and greets" in regions and all the help with design layout etc. will be great.

Please send emails to SSred1@yahoo.com if you have a cue(s) to submit. If you are in a place where you have access to "high end cues" that you think will add value please send an email. I need reps from all over. This can be one of the best colaborated efforts. Design layout and help will be great... shoot me your email and I will send you pics and what I "think" will work.

I plan on setting up a event in the Tri-state area in Jan 08'. With the help of Ken from Highendcues and Marcus (Tascarellla cue central) we should have no problem finding the best of the best in the northeast.

All cost for project will be disclosed ... all that wish to contribute, can when I know what cost I will encounter. Cost of calendar will be based off of Breakeven point and all (if any) additional funds received will be used for next year calendar or others adventures to support this great game.

Again email me... shoot me a PM or post!!!

This is going to happen

Happy Holidays,

SS

I have a few cuemakers/collections that I definately want in this calendar. I want it to be deverse and not have duplicates of cues in months.

We have access to pics of Tascarella cues from Marcus. I can get pics of three Gus Szamboti cues but would love to get Marsman to participate with his outstanding Szamboti collection. Poolchady has a sweet Southwest collection.

If you guys know or have acces to cuecollectos that would be willing to particiapte please have them get in contact with me.

I will be sending PMs to a few our members to see if they are interested. My goal is to have a cue callendar everyone will want to look at years from now, not to make money... Also I plan on giving a FREE calendar to those cue collectors who are willing to and are asked to be involved.

Thanks to all that PM'd me so far. I think it will be difficult to have this done by year end, but we can have one bad ass calendar for 09.

What cue makers would you like to see in the calendar. I don't want this to be my favorite cuemakers. Here are a few of mine:

B. Szamboti
Searing
Tascarella
Showman
Haley
Black Boar
Manzino
DPK/Ed Young
Schick
Hercek
Gina Cue
Joss West

A "legends of cuemaking" - on a calendar that is for all 12 months . Gus Szamboti, Palmer, Balabushka, Paradise, Martin, etc.... (The most challenging since getting all these cue together can be difficult. Maybe possible at SBE 09)

I keep going back and forth on if we should month by month by cuemaker or type (Traditional cue makers, Floating points, Ivory Handle, Butterfly, Plain Jain, etc...)

Need opinions and voluntaries.
Regards,

Good ideia !! Let us know how may we help ! Marylane Showman

An AZB cue calendar is a great idea. What about a calendar where each month of the 12 or 18 month calendar is dedicated to an AZB cuemaker/poster and their cues ?

Doug

I am at a loss as to why you would need to get a cuemaker's permission if the cue has been sold and is no longer their's? Kinda like getting permission from every vehicle manufacturer to make a movie that has scenes in everyday traffic.

I understand it being a courtesy thing, but would it be required legally?

I thought about this as well, but I do believe it is worth doing for a few reasons.

The most important being that the cuemaker can validate that the cues are indeed his. Last thing I want is a cue with no markings being identified as Cuemaker A when it really isn't.

Also, I want the cuemakers support and want to get their feedback and comments. This could add that additional value to make this calender stand out more.
