AZBilliards - BCA 9-Ball Tournament

Keep in mind Tuesday is not an off day for players doing well in singles and/or scotch doubles. If you play during the day, you may have to schedule around some players matches.

I like to idea though and anytime through singles I am up for playing late.

I guess you are right....(I never made it past Monday)

I would imagine its pretty much the finals (final 16-32)...and I have never played the scotch so I did not pay attention.

With just a little communication from a player that is still playing on Tuesday, the matches could be scheduled around any BCA matches...

The finals could also be on Tuesday evening around 9 or 10pm...

I think everyone going in will just have to understand that going in and assist the flow by communicating any conflicts.

OR...

I guess we could do a single elim tourny on Tuesday night...(after the finals are over)

Do sign ups in the AZBilliards room through the finals of the singles and scotch and schedule the draw for 1 hour after the finals are over.

Run it as a single elim race to 6 10-Ball. With as many tables as there are If we get it started at 8:00pm I don't think it would be a problem to get a 64 player field done by 2:00am

Limit it to the first 64 signed up...$25 entry..Use the AZBilliards room for the tournament board, and use the table for the final two matches on the winner side, hot seat match, and finals.

Just throwing ideas out to get something fun going that is also easy to run with as little conflicts as possible.

I also don't want to be there all day every day as I expect to be playing matches Sat, Sun, Mon at least....(Although last year I was out late Sunday Night)

I like a couple of rounds through each night, maybe you could get one designated person to proceed over the matches each night so that one person is not fully committed. Speaking from experience, I know that Tuesday can be hectic and if I recall, our scotch match in the finals was not over until quite late. We had to work with scheduling conflicts as our opponent was still playing in singles as well.

I would more than happy to volunteer a few hours one night to help run this. I am an experienced tournament director and I think that it would be fun to meet some of the different az'ers. And, like I said before, anything to keep me away from the casino for a few hours.
