VERY NICE Lisa.
How's the balance? I like forward balanced and have heard his cues really fit the bill.
Glad I was able to breathe new life into this thread.
Yep, the cue definitely has a forward balance to it. And, if I am not mistaken, and I am sure 'skins' will correct if I am...Lol, there is no weight bolt. Makes for a VERY solid feeling cue. If you like STIFF, these cues are the way to go! I feel that for the amount of work you get in these cues, they are an extremely good value, and from what I have seen, hold their resale very well.
Jazz...I am very impressed with the finish he uses on these cues. Very hard and durable, and polishes up with a quick wipe down. As to having brother/sister cues....yep, very happy to have gotten the ebony, as they may be on the 'endangered species' list before long from Keith's shop.
Timing was everything with this cue. I had a line on a lovely cocobolo one, but it 'got away'.

I contacted Keith about making one, and he sent me some pics of what he currently had available...I got a sneak preview of the traditional pointed cues before 'skins' unveiled them here...and there was a cocobolo s/p, and this one next to it...it was love at first sight! The design element just 'flowed' throughout. Got lucky with the high figure of the BEM nose.

Plus I got lucky to get an unweighted ebony in a lighter weight @ 19.35 oz. Plus, Keith was nice enough to change the tip out for me to a Moori M, (from the normal Triangle), at no-charge.
Keith and Sherri are a true pleasure to deal with, and very easy to talk to...it is not hard to find yourself just chatting away...Lol. And from the pics of his new traditional pointed cues, it shows me that he is keeping his fingers on the pulse of what some collectors are looking for. All I know is, the cues play incredibly well.
And Sean...that one Josey you have has some of THE curliest curly maple I have ever seen in a cue!! That one is gorgeous!! Cannot figure out why it has not sold yet!
And, I really need to thank 'skins' here. He was able to answer questions for me, and explain to me why he feels that Keith's cues are one of THE best playing cues around. Having to part with the Skip was a very tough decision, but acquiring this Josey s/p certainly made the loss a bit easier to take...it is certainly the 'silk purse' in what was a 'sow's ear' situation.
