Have any B or C players ever done any of the tourneys at DCC in the past, for perhaps the reason being getting a free pass to all of the events? General admission for Jan 4-14th is $90 (unless I misread this), and the entry fee for banks is $105, only $15 more.

A whole crapload. Me, I play the one-pocket even though I'm an absolute novice at the game. But, where else can you play a top level one-pocket tournament and learn from the best? Plus, I've been lucky to have won a couple of matches, so it's all worth it.

Absolutely. And that's what Greg wanted (people to play if they're going to be there.)

This is actually the first year that the price of admission was actually less than the price of the banks. There are just so many players now that I think the week is too short for the amount of players.

This is great news, guys. A couple of people have been telling me to enter the banks tourney -- because it's a great experience to play some of the best, and you get that free pass. But I didn't want to be the only B/C player in the tourney, either.

You won't be. There are several people that enter the banks, just to get the week pass. They also get a chance to play a world champion. Pool is one of the only sports that I know you can pay 100.00 for a tournament, and play one of the best players in the world. Imagine playing agaisnt Michael Jordan in basketball for a few hours. GREAT CHANCE!!!!!!!

I too am part of that load of crap...

breakup,
Well, you just lobbed that one up there; I refuse to take advantage of it.

P.S. - I'm going to play also, but I plan on winning every match (I also plan on winning the lottery, marrying Morgan Fairchild, and instituting world peace).

morgan fairchild sheesh, its ok to roll with the times, everyone ages.

shes probably turned to fossil fuel by now.

watch some new movies or something.

EDIT: A foxy blonde, they practically grow those by the dozens on the tv nowadays, not to mention the internet.

OK...you talked me into it!

Just finished signing up for 9-ball. Figured if I was there, I might as well have the full experience. My first round opponent can consider him/herself very lucky!:D

In that crapload as well

daylate,

I am right there with you. I am going to go down for the experience and play the 9-ball as well. If I am going out in round one, I hope it is to one of the big names. At least that way I can say, "Hey I lost to him once at the DCC in KY!" LOL
