Back pocket 9 ball weight

How much weight is a front and a back to a back? I have only played the game 3 or 4 times. A gentleman at my poolroom seems to be good action but can't play even anymore.

beat him 8 games in a row 1 pocket and 8 games ahead after 2 HR session of back pocket 9 ball.

Any help is appreciated.

If you beat him 8 games in 2 hrs, he probably needs what he asked for.

Typical progressions of weight go about like:

Back to Back (even)
Front to Back (always on a diagonal)
Front and Back to Back
2 Fronts to Back
2 Fronts and a Back to Back

After this its more for HUGE differences in ability, such as:

5 pockets to a back
2 fronts to a side
6 pockets to a front
etc

In a nutshell,

The game is a combination of 9 ball and one pocket. Balls 1-8 are played just like 9 ball. Any pocket, made in rotation. Once you get to the 9, each player has one of the back corner pockets (at break end of the table). If the 9 goes in your pocket (no matter who makes it) you win. If the 9 goes in a neutral pocket, it spots, and its the other guys turn.

You can also win on a short rack, by making the 9 on a combo in your own hole (or lose if you combo it in your opponents hole).

There are various other rules such as what happens on a bad hit if the 9 is moved, etc.
