Not too long ago I watched a video in which the players uncharacteristic were miscueing more often than normal. Jay was commentating and said something to the effect that it could be attributed to “a batch of bad chalk”. It was an older video so I‘m assuming they were usig Master chalk.
Anyone ever heard of this happening?

most times its from polished cue balls with using lots of english and the tip slides off.

but the majority of times i miss it is the fault of the chalk.

I don’t remember hearing about a recall. Bahahahahahaha.

I had a couple of pieces of Chalk get Dan during monsoon season when RH increases (Humifity).

Simple cure is 60 or 80 Grit Sandpaper, remove 1/8” of chalk rubbing on Sandpaper. Get past damp part.

I don't remember this either. I'd like to see it myself. I have seen chalk that was flaky and tended to crumble and for whatever reason some boxes of chalk are better than others. I personally prefer Master chalk and have found some of the others to be inferior in quality. I also don't think the super expensive chalks work any better, and in some cases they are worse!

Jay, I think it was a passing comment you made during the Balkan/Malaya match, again it was just something said in passing not memorable for any reason.

I like Master as well, lot of people ran a lot of balls with that chalk.

No

I use Masters.

Also, I always use my own chalk as does everyone in any type of tournament that I’ve ever played in.
