Sunny YES, you probably know MArk. He is a BALD old guy who frequents Mickies and i think plays on our Monday league. My plan is when i see him on Saturday, i will give him the difference in games, which i think is 60.00 and tell him i will never play him again, He is Bad ACTION, and is a bit NITTY!! THIS IS CRAZY i am having to try to defend my reputation, i have been a member on AZ for a long time, i am good people..

Hey, now... I won't go far as saying you're good people, LOL.

You may be a little 'odd' but you're not a BAD ACTION... and swissmark needs to retract this thread and explain himself. Because, he has damaged your gambling rep.

sunny you dont have to post now hahahhahahhaa

Excited to go this year, since I missed last year. For the record I don't know Chris to stiff anyone.

funny

I don't know you guy's, but I want to know why anyone would want to finish a set thats more then half (6-4,race to 8) over another time. Sounds funny to me and can't make sense why your opponent would agree to that, then start a thread about it here. I know I would never let someone leave without finishing the set after the halfway point unless there was a emergency of some kind. Now if you quit (at 6-4) you owe the full amount unless your opponent agrees to something else. I think you should contact him and fix this a.s.a.p. so you can restore your rep. JMHO

Well it sure stirred up the room a little, which was my intention.
The whole problem was that the guy wanted to quit the match because he was playing bad and he was not going to come back from a 7:2 deficit yes 7:2 race to 9 because he asked me to mark the game on the beginning, never mind the 8:4. I lost more times in my life than I care to remember, but I have never done or seen anything like it before. At this point it's not about the money but more about pool etiquette. Also, the first time we played he beat the hell out of me, 4 sets to be exact and yes he offered me spot and I declined. But I told him next time I will need a game on the wire. And that's where it is. Nitty?

Really, there is miscommunication on both parties, but it doest warrant any name calling.

OK, so both parties decided to quit while Mark was on the hill. We've got that and I don't think either of you are arguing about it.

But did Mark agree/ acknowledge to finish out the set on next meeting? If Mark said yes, then Mark, you should retract this thread and so on...

But if Mark did not agree to finish the set next time... then Chris it sounds like you owe Mark some cash and not just $60.00 you mentioned. If you quit a money match it's equivalent to forfeiting a tourney match in my book - which results in "loss".

In my past experience... if I or my opponent had particular issues for the match to postpone, we always squared up before leaving the pool room. Either an agreement to finish when and where or simple, "no I want to get paid now". But usually, if I had to quit a match, I let my opponent decide what he wanted.

Hey, I maybe a girl who doesn't gamble anymore, but I have been taught by pretty respectable gamblers about "action etiquette".

Personally, I wish you guys settle this own your own. I am hoping this thread doesn't go over 5 pages...

If you quit the set and your opponent did not agree, then you owe your opponent the full amount of whatever you were playing for.

Less than 5 pages on a drama thread? Riiiiiight. ;)

The thing is he did agree to finish the set another time. This thread was started by a guy saying i stiffed him, we have yet to finish the set, thereis obviously some confusion on the score. The other thing that needs to be noted is this, we had been playing for months every week so it wasn't like we would never finish the set. When i beat him the first time after 1 set, i said i would adjust based on pool etiquette, he said no but at least i was willing to adjust. He only wants the NUTS Period, and i see that now. And for someone to go to the lengths to become a member of AZ only to bash another member, i don't get it. as i said before i will give him the difference in the games, and NEVER PLAY him again! If anyone is bad action he is. be truthfull Mark, i have lost thousands since i have been here, and have never stiffed anyone.

nuts?

you call 1 game on the wire in a race to 8 or 9 the nuts?, more like peanuts. The way it sounds to me is you were getting beat and when he got a head of you for the 300, you didn't like the way the match was going and pulled up. JMO. Hope you guys work it out and move on.
