There's a sucker born every minute. And then, there are those who are so sure it's a Horn, and it's linen, rather than dacron. They are out of their league. Difference is, I'm not naming them.

Well, you may feel it's not linen. OK. Maybe so. But there were a variety of linens made. :wink: We know Cortland, Penn, Shakespeare, various brands of Cuttyhunk, etc commonly...but there were imported varieties even decades ago that are mostly long forgotten.

But it's not Dacron either.

Wrong pattern and thickness.

Unless you are using the term Dacron to mean synthetic, which it appears a number of people do, like Kleenex means tissue.

Dacron is a brand name of polyester. There were also a variety of nylon wraps, as well as Orlon which is an acrylic fiber, and Rayon which is actually made from cellulose, a natural fiber. In addition there were a variety of natural products based on linen, cotton, and hemp that I have identified.

I don't know what the cue is, but I know a few things it isn't.
