Balabuska on eBay (Adams built by Tascarella, NOT George Balabuska)
Listen,,, those Balabuska cues on eBay are NOT orig Balabuska cues built by the great but deceased many years ago George Balabuska. The Balabuska cues for sale on eBay are cues made by Adams Cue Manufactures. Those cues are not close to being a REAL Balabuska cue. A REAL Balabuska cue would IF you can find a real orig Balabuska would cost many thousands of dollars and be concidered a true collectable... There is NO SUCH THING as a real Balabuska cue being produced today. Those Balabuska cues with the signature are just cues made by Adams as one of the many model of cues that they produce,, Adams just NAMED this model "THE GEORGE BALABUSKA MODEL"... There is no such thing as a real Balabuska any more. The man died many many many years ago probably before many of you young players time. Those Balabuska cues up on eBay are nothing more than another cue produced by ADAMS as a model named BALABUSKA... The cue is an ADAMS CUE... Actually the man who makes that cue for ADAMS is a cue maker out of Long Island (last I knew anyway) by the name of Pete Tascarella,, a pretty good pool player and pretty good cue maker.. Pete actually ended up owning much of George Balabuska's old orig tools, equipment and machines. I haven't seen Pete in some time but I miss his excellent work of working on my shafts and putting on new tips for me... Next to Gus Szamboti (yea I knew Gus too) Pete and Gus where the best at putting a new tip on my shafts.. Pete had the old discontinued but excellent orig French Champion Hard Tips that I played best with... Great tip but not recommended for most players as they were a very Hard Tip basically only for the more advanced player who could play with that tip without mis cueing all the time.. I loved those old Champion Tips with the red or Black backing... Great tip. Blows those inferior soft and muchrooming La Pro's away... I think the LaPro's suck,,, only maybe 1 or 2 LaPro tips are any good out of a new box of LaPros... They use to be much better years and years ago.... Today they're a low end tip to me. If anyone wants a pretty good consisteant good hitting cue I would recommend the Schon Cues... Schon has stayed consistant thru the years making cues that hit well... For a fairly inexpensive cue as far as a custom made cue goes,,, you can feel safe about buying any used or new Schon... Schon is one cue manufacture that actually knows how to propberly balance out a cue. Most custom cue makers today are pot luck trying to get a cue that hits good... Bludworth is a good custom cue but not cheap. Schon for a production cue is a very good cue, any model,, all the Schons will have a pretty consistant hit... I'm a real player who knows what he is talking about... Those Balabuska's by ADAMS are not any special cues by no means.. They won't even hold their value as time goes by like many other custom made cues. Trust me..

Tim Scruggs actually makes the Schon LTD and Joel Hercek helps out with the Mali cues....
How stupid am I? Here I am waiting 5+ years for a Hercek when I could just go out and buy a Mali...lol. DUH! *slaps forehead*
