I only have the one Balabushka and it is an amazing cue. It has 4 shafts, (1) original full size, (2) Tascarella made shafts, and (1) "unknown" maker shaft.
I was hot on the trail of a couple other ones, that I knew about in Memphis. One was previously owned by CJ Wiley and after he went broke gambling with one of the locals in Memphis, he promptly put up a Gus and Balabushka trying to get his money back, and lost them too.
The second one was once owned by Richard Austin, close friend of Robert "Cotton" Leblanc, that ended up on death row for murder. He owned the Golden Cue pool room in Memphis. He passed several years ago.
All of these cues are with a big collector in the Memphis area. I was told that they wouldnt be sold, so I lost the passion of trying to get them.
Kinda neat stories huh?
