Ok, first post, be kind.

It doesn't make any sense to me to list the balance point of a cue from the butt end.

You set up and grip the cue a certain distance from the cue ball, and therefor from the tip.

It would seem, scientifically that if I had two cues with the same balance point from the tip, any difference in length would not be noticed. IE: if I had a 57" cue and a 60" cue both balanced 40.5" from the tip they should feel the same when I set up to pull the trigger.

have I got this wrong?

An 18.5 balance point for a two-piece 29+29 cue is considered the norm by the market.
So just add an inch for a 30 by 30 two piece cue.

You think too much, try think more than that.

Of course there is a difference.
