This may be stupid question and I think I know the answer but here goes. Please no blasts :)

What is the best way to find the balance point on your cue?

Well this might seem like a stupid answer, but here goes anyways. The easiest tool i found to find the balance point of my cues is my index finger. It may not be as accurate as a real tool but i'll bet its pretty darn close.

Find where you can balance it on your finger...measure total stick length as well as distance to an end and you will both to front/ back #s.

this works for me

i lay a yard stick on my pool table, put a 8 sided wood pencil at the end of yardstick. i move cue back and forth until its balanced on pencil, read the yard stick from pencil to butt. i believe this will tell you the balance point from the butt in inches.

Here is a fast way. Hold your hands a couple of feet apart, palms facing each other, with the stick resting across them. Bring your palms together like you are praying. There's the BP.

The most accurate way to measure the balance point is to place the cue on a table, put a piece of string under the cue, and lift the cue with the string. When the string is positioned at the balance point, the cue with be suspended horizontally without tipping either way. This is much more accurate than using a finger.
