Balance Rite 3/8x10 problem

Is anyone else having a problem with the butt end thread of the extension, specifically the 3/8x10 model? The threads are so dang tight it creaks about half the way on, i have multiple 3/8x10 cues that i've tried... no dice. Got a replacement, same issue.

I ended up basically lapping the threads with a dry polishing compound i had lying around. Worked great.

I bought the extension and a pair of joint protectors for the extension.
The butt end is quite tight with my cues and I could not even get my joint protector into the butt end as well.

No issue with the Uni-Loc

I have the Uni-loc version, and have had no issues. It could be a problem specific to that thread.

I make custom extensions in a 3/8 x 10 pin and I can make the joint protectors to if need be.

Pm if interested I will need to know the joint size of the cue you plan on using the extension on if you want the joint of the cue to match the extension.
