This is a solid walnut rack made by Diamond Billiard Products, Inc. I'm not aware of any finer wooden ball racks than those made by Diamond.
This rack is heavy duty (weighs 14 oz.) and (unlike many racks) provides enough space behind the last row of balls for your fingers to push the balls forward. When the balls are racked, the inlaid diamond is put at the top (past the foot spot) and the kerf in the back edge of the rack (visible in the top picture) is aligned on the long string (if marked on your table) or a dot marked on the table in the appropriate position.
I purchased two of these racks from Diamond about a dozen years ago. I have been using one of them ever since then, and it is still in excellent condition. This second rack has never been used, but it has probably been bumped or fallen off its perch a couple times over that period. I would call its condition essentially like new.
The rack does have a small section on one side (maybe 1 1/2" long -- see the last picture, bottom center) that is a different tone from the rest of the rack. I don't know what this is; it may be wood filler of some sort put in the board before the rack was machined, or a patch for a tear-out after it was machined. But it is the way I received it from Diamond, and it has absolutely no effect on the use or functioning of the rack.
A walnut rack from Diamond costs $50 plus shipping (Diamond estimated about $15 for shipping when I asked recently). I'm offering this one, including shipping anywhere in the USA, for Sold.
