Ball won't stay in pocket!

Well let's see? Looking at the pocket would confirm for the person, more about what is going on with the pocket, that is making the ball do that. If you saw a peculiarity which may keep the ball from going down with predictability if it is hit fast or...if one side of the pocket is damaged more than the other side, one could either roll the ball slower or maybe cheat the pocket to one side if needed.

Really...it isn't rocket science!

Is it the shot where the pocket spot out a few in a row?
If so, after you see it happens once, you knlw it can happen.
the mstake i see from the 2nd+ shoys is that they shot is the same speed- unsuccessful in prior attempts.

Looking wouldnt have changed the outcome, shooting it diffently than mimnpiking others prior failires would have.

BB...yes, you're right...looking wouldn't have done a thing to change the outcome of the person's next shot. I made the mistake of assuming that you would know that the reason why I said they should look, is because in doing so, they would've come to a correct diagnosis of what the problem was, and taken the necessary measures to make sure that they hit the correct shot for the situation. I'll try to be a little more explanatory next time...and not assume that you can figure out cause and effect!

Otoh...
i dont usually care why, just that the outcome is correct...so we kinda approach the same issue from different perspectives.
Of course, my way is the right way!
