they look really nice and remind me of a helmstetter alot yet i havent ever played with one... so i guess what i want to ask is do they hit like helmstetters hit?? and are they worth the price?? thanks

Hey, the Balabushka series cues do hit like a Helmstetter. This is mainly because they are made in the same factory as the Helmstetter and Adam cues by Adam cue Company. However, the quality of the construction, finish, and materials used are much better quality. The cues have been made since the Middle of the 1980's, in the tradition of Balabushka cues. They all feature a piloted Stainless Steel joint, with a 5/16-14 pin. During the late 90's until around 2003, these cues were made in a number of locations, but only the ones made in Japan are good quality.
 
i have one that i purchsed new 2 years ago..i like it alot..nice hit and i get alot of compliments about it...
 
I've had two of the Helmstetters and one of the Balabushkas. IMO, the Balabushka hits much better than either of the Helmstetters. And, it's a beautiful, classically designed cue. I highly recommend it.
 
I recommend the balabushka production series as well. Very nice look and a good hit. I shot with one as I started moving up the league ranks. It took me from a Skill Level 3 to a Skill Level 6 in about 2 years. I keep it hanging on the wall now as I upgraded to a custom cue. The balabushka will never be sold though, has a lot of sentimental value and little resell value.
 
Good question!.....My every day work horse at the moment is an older Helmstetter, maybe 10 years or so. It has an old school bushka/Boti look, ss joint, and a pretty soft hit with a LePro tip. I've been eyeballin the new Bushkas as well. I'm sure I'll jump on one some time soon.......
