You know "jb" I never thought I would have to correct you in anything relating to bank pool but....a "FULL FIELD" @ Red Shoes Billiards "Bank Pool Tournament" being held on 5/11/2013 is "30" not "32"..."Why" you may ask, well THIS IS WHY....With the remodeling I did years ago, I had to get rid of some 9 foot tables (to make room for the bar, kitchen and bar tables)....So now I have only 15 nine foot Brunswick Gold Crowns. "If" I had "32" players with only 15 tables...I would not be able to have ALL PLAYERS start at the same time in the first round. You know our tournaments are "IRON MAN" (play straight through...no coming back the next day), so getting EVERYBODY playing right after the players meeting is very important. I use a "32" player double elimination chart with 2 "byes" (OPEN BLIND DRAW). Yes....I ADD the whole $500 at "30" players. The "IRON MAN" format is also why we have a "single race" (A side vs B side) in the finals...because by that time (the FINALS), it has been one long day for everybody involved (especially the Tournament Director and chief cook and bottle washer...ME!)
