I covered 3 bar tables a couple of months ago and have been running a weekly tournament on them and I level the tables every week and I was just checking them in the center and keep having problems so i checked them in other spots and found out the slate is warped i wanted to know if anyone has flipped bar table slate over and if it would hurt anything i know some slate has grooves on one side from the honing of the slate I would love to have other techs input on this thank you

Slate sagging in the middle has nothing to do with slate warping, but does have everything to do with the frame of the table sagging...because the slate settles to the frame of the table....meaning if the middle of the frame is high, the slate will be high in the middle, if the middle of the frame is low, the middle of the slate is going to be low. Only problem with shimming up the middle of the slate, is that if you shim it to much to raise up the middle of the slate...you won't be able to bolt the rail blocks back on because the rail bolt holes won't line up with the bolt inserts in the rail blocks anymore;)
