anyone use a Barnhart cue as there full time player?

i just want some honest opinions regarding his cues.....i am thinking about purchasing one :) thanks

I have a bocote sneaky pete that Cory made. Mine has a big radial pin flat faced wood to wood joint. Gives it a real nice solid hit. Moves the ball real well. Cue is well made and has real nice feel to it.

I have to say that I use a shaft from one of my Joseys one it. Corys shaft was fine. I have been using a 60 inch cue for some time and couldn't get use to the smaller cue. So I put one of my Josey 30 inch shafts on it to get the cue a little longer. I am planning on having Cory make a 30 inch shaft with matching ring work.

I think you will be happy with his work. Sarah Rousey on the WPBA plays with one. Maybe post something in her section to get some input from her.

I played with one for a few months. Good solid cue. Nice feel to it and moved the cue ball easily.

I believe his standard shaft length is 29.5 in. He typically uses 3/4 in. ferrules which I find deflect/squirt less than 1 in. ferrules. Most of his cues have the wrap closer to the butt, which is nice for those of with longer arms. His shaft taper is very stiff and might be tough for someone used to a pro like taper.

Cory builds a great playing cue... No doubt.

Cory's cues are definitely great cues. The price isn't too bad on them either. The best thing about his cues has to be that no matter price the cue is it will be high quality. I have played with some of his $300 cues and with some of his very high end cues and loved them all. Good luck with whatever cue you decide to buy.

I have two of Cory's cues and I have to say that I agree with the posters here, they hit great. His wood to wood joint (regardless of sleeve type) produces a firm hit with tons of feedback. Very sensitive hit. They are very consistent across styles, I have a high-end and a mid priced cue and they hit the same.

His workmanship and attention to detail is among the best in the industry. Look at his cues under a magnifiying glass and you will see what I mean.

You can also look at the thread I started on his cues. There are many examples of his craftsmanship.

I bought mine about 1.5 yrs ago hits like a champ, great work i think, 6 rose wood points into curly maply with the silver inlay. 2 shafts, thinking of buying another one from him. I would suggest
