I recently purchased a Barringer cue off ebay. It is a full/long splice (coco/maple) sneaky pete. My overall impressions are as follows: the grain/stain is amazing. The joint/ring work/buttcap are perfect. It has a very nice, stiff hit. The balance and weight are perfect. This is my first custom cue, so I have nothing to compare it to. Two things that were a little off are #1, points are not pefectly even. This may be normal for this method of construction, maybe you all could comment. #2- shipping was a little slow. I payed within about 20 minutes of auction end. It took 15 days to get the cue. I was told it had very minor surface scratches that needed buffed out. This seemed odd to me, but I would rather have right, you know. Overall, I am very happy. Communication was good. FYI, previous cues were McDermott, various Predators and a Dufferin (for the bar). This really is much different than other cues I have played with. The reason for the post is simply to add some information for anyone looking. I did "research" here and other places about Barringer cues, to mixed reviews. I welcome any comments.
