Barringer cues

From reading the Cuecomponents web site and watching the Barringer cue building DVDs, Joe makes it clear that he's all about quality. If it's not perfect, through it out seems to be his mantra. I've never seen a Barringer custom cue myself, and was wondering if some who have could comment on the quality and design of his cues.

I've had one. Coco/Maple full splice. The wood was nice. The points and he splices themselves left a little to be desired for me, things were a little sloppy. I am very picky, probably too much. The shaft wood was nice, but the taper was way stiff and I did not like the hit.

He was nice through emails. From the "literature" on his website, maybe I was expecting too much. He seemed awful proud. If you haven't been to the webites, there is quite a bit to read and you'll see what I mean.

I am sure there are many who have these cues and love them, although you hear from few.

For comparisons sake- I shoot with and love a Keith Josey fancy sneaky and have Kenny Murrell on the way.
