Hey, i just moved to vegas. I've been to a few pool halls(cue club, and goodtimez<-saw corey deuel there last month), But was wondering if anyone knows of any bars that i can play against some locals at. I haven't played much in the past year and a half and am a little rusty, so i just wanted to throw down some quarters against some bangers at a dive bar. Any recommendations? Again, not looking for a pool hall, just a bar where regulars can write their name on a board and match up.

Go to www.vegasbilliardsbuzz.com. There is a calendar with several bar events listed. Best known bars are Rum Runner Tropicana, Putters on Eastern and Dealers Choice on Spring Mountain. Every bar in Vegas has tables. Some are safer than others. Just pay attention to your surroundings. Welcome to Sin City.

Also, Mark Estes in office at BCAPL, has about 20 Diamonds placed through out the city.

Rooms

The Gin Mill and mickeys cues and brews just to name afew. If your a smoker or don't mind the smoke there's a lot of places to play. The Rum Runner on trop is nice. Stop by this weekend and watch the "B" player tournments. The following weekend is the mercer. You can see the best of vegas to battle against pro's like svb and more.

Good suggestion Bill. Used to have a Diamond Tour in Vegas. Each bar must have had Diamond tables to participate. Kind of fell apart. List of Bars with Diamonds is long.
As I mentioned, most every bar has at least one bar sized table. Most have two or three.

AC, if you have the time, stop by Rum Runners Trop. They are holding the "Doc" Hill Memorial on the weekend of March 13, 14 and 15. Ask for Amy Kane or Mark Estes. They can tell you the best and safest bars to frequent.

Man, I love this community. Thanks for all the good info, i really appreciate you guys.

I don't go out to the Vegas bars very often but the Rum Runner is at the top of my list. At the other end of town, I thought Ranchers was a pretty good place.
