Baseball pool

I have a set of balls numbered 16 thru 21 and matching rack, I'm told that these were used in a game called baseball, originating in England. Anyone knowledgeable about the origin of this game?

Every now and then I stop over to visit with a friend and hit some balls around on his 10footer, I loosely threw the balls up for a quick pic.

Sounds like the same thing as Cricket played on a snooker table with the six colours as one of the "teams" and the fifteen reds as the other "team".

What is the coloring of numbers 16 to 21? Solids? Stripes? I am guessing that 16-21 are used as the equivalent of the snooker colours (six balls) and the normal 15 pool balls are used as the equivalent of the fifteen snooker reds. Sounds like the American version, the English "batsman" will be the "batter" and the English "bowler" will be the "pitcher". As for "spotting", the snooker table has designated spots but in your case, I would just call each of the batter's "runs" (16-21) as one point (rather than the snooker colour values), then they would be spotted as in Line Up Straight Pool starting on the foot spot and extending down the center line toward the foot rail.

I am just speculating but it does seem a logical conclusion.
 
When I saw it played, they racked the 1ball on the spot and the rest above, backwards.
The breaker put the CB against the 1ball and broke from the foot of the table using the rear bumper of the cue for more power.
