BBC and Co.

Yes sir, Brunswick was heavily involved in the music business. Very heavily.

They had been producing cabinet radios for the home when the technology to produce what we call "record albums" finally came onto the market as well. So, Brunswick began making record players as well.

To make sure they sold plenty of record players, Brunswick also got into the recording business. At one point in time they owned their own record label ( as you saw on YouTube) and signed as many popular musicians and bands as they could.

To make sure people bought plenty of their recordings, they even used proprietary equipment, so you had to have a Brunswick machine to listen to Brunswick records.

But, the great depression hit the Brunswick company very hard, so they were basically forced to trim the fat or go under for good, so they sold their entire music division to a company that we now know as Warner Brothers Records.
