Not so sure about Jimmy's 1994 World CHampionship win in HK(?) but good to see the IPT getting some press via the Snooker Players.

For those that don't know Jimmy, he was probably his generations equivalent to Ronnie O, he has appeared in 6 World Snooker finals but......he has LOST ALL 6!

Thanks for the link Craig, I grew up watching Jimmy and trying to will him to a victory at the crucible (oh well!)

Love the quote about him dropping out of the top 16 and being ranked 35th

"I guarantee you I will be in the top 16 for next year. I am far too good." ....I love his confidence.

Yeah but as you know he has that confidence every year at the crucible, he needs more than confidence now though but just goes to show how tough it is now a days to break into the top 16.

I gave up on him when he missed that black off the spot against Hendry when he had the title at his mercy!

Poor Jimmy, he had the extreme misfortune of being in his prime while Stephen Hendry and Steve Davis were in their prime.

I like the caption on the photo. "Mike Sigel and Loree Jon Jones are the two biggest names in the world of pool". I just got interested in pool about five years ago and I never heard of them until the IPT started. I know, I know, I should have learned more about the history of pool sooner, lol.
