BCA Nationals - Deals??

Just thought I'd start a thread for anyone going to Vegas in July for BCA Nationals.
I called the Rio and made my reservations the other day. Being that the Rio is a resort hotel, they usually offer something to get you to listen to their timeshare speech. They offered me either $100 in casino chips (no deposit) or $200 casino chips ($50 deposit). You have to sit through a 2hr presentation/walk through but it's on the second floor of the hotel. The tours runs all day so finding time shouldn't be an issue. You get you $50 back in a $50 American Express gift card right after the presentation.
Casino chips are $25 each and can be used for any form of gaming including slots.
Free money and free beer..YEP!

Anything else free or super cheap?

Trust me there is nothing free in a Time Share Pitch, unless you enjoy getting grinded, and grinded, by high pressure comissioned sales people.

If you register through our room block, you will avoid ALL of the resort fees.

March (or April) they started a resort fee at their properties.
Our group rate is exempt.

That will save $18 per night!!

Just FYI on top of that Mark: if you choose to use to discount code to waive the resort fee there will be no internet access in the room or hotel, no gym access, plus other stuff...I just found out. If you want internet access it is $13.95 per day. I think the gym is $25 without resort fee.

Sucks for me as I will still be in my Master's program and will need some internet access.

I am sorry but there is nothing we can do to change wat the charge.

Caesar's properties never had a resort fee.
They changed that on April 1st (I think).
We have a group rate that avoids the resort fee - which I thought was $18 per night.

Almost every hotel charges (in Vegas) charges for Internet etc.
Wish they didn't but they do.

There will be some Internet areas but am not sure exactly where.
