Summit 2012 Hits Home Run

Man I was stoked to read that... I was hoping it was going to indicate they were changing their name to The Baseball Congress of America....

Guess there is still no plan for Pro Pool even tho I am pretty sure a release months ago alluded to one... Pretty sure Jerry would have said something had it even been mentioned.......

great news, i had actually been concerned, thanks to everyone who made this happen.
 
How can they not mention Pro Pool in the U.S. or at least some kind of plan
and have the nerve to call it a success? LOL

I read that one page summary of the show and thought that some things that they were making a big deal about were ludicrous.

Reading that report on the show makes me want to ask,

----------------------IS THAT IT, REALLY?---------------------------------------

and they label that as: "The show hits a home rum"
 
The Billiard Congress of America is a TRADE Organization serving millions of customers.

They don't have a lot to do with Amateur or Professional Pool directly.

I appreciate the trade organization function of the BCA, Randy. But considering that they are the recognized "governing body", federation or representative of the game in the USA by the WPA, don't you think that is a somewhat poor attitude for them to have?

BTW, congratulations on your appointment to head the PBIA. :wink:

As I understand it they are the American arm of the WPA so to speak.

Attitudes can change with proper leadership. Yes, I wish they would be able to get more involved in Amateur pool but that's another story. As far as Pro Pool goes, I don't blame them for staying away right now.

Better way to state it would be they are the Western arm of a Body who's mission statement is to bring professional level pool to Europe and Asia... Am still mystified as to how Paul Gerni read that and thought wow that's what the bcA needs to get behind....... The "A" still doesn't stand for Asia last time I checked......
