The scotch is full for Thursday Sept. 1st. The office is taking a waiting list sign up in case of any cancellation.

THE POSTMARK AND FAX DEADLINE is this Saturday, Aug. 20th. There is still time to enter on-line @ www.ctsondemand.com until Monday Aug. 29th. There is only a $10 late fee for singles and entry forms can be found on www.playbca.com under the events tab.

I have purchased a half barrel for the pool party. It will be tapped at 8pm on the 1st. The pool party hours are 6pm to 10 pm on that Thursday.

The 2011 BCAPL Southwest Regional Championships at the upscale Radisson Fort McDowell Resort, September 1-5, is still receiving entries via mail, fax, and CTSonDemand.

Final entry deadlines –

** Last day to enter via postmark & fax – Saturday, August 20

** Last day to enter online – Monday, August 29

Scotch Doubles event is full (at 32 teams) – We stopped online entries into the Scotch Doubles event earlier this week at 26 teams, and then received 6 more in the mail. Any additional entries received will be contacted for a refund, or to be placed on an alternate list.

Advanced/Master Singles Divisions – Like most state and regional events, more entries are needed in the Advanced and Masters Divisions. To date, we have 6 Men’s and 4 Women’s Advanced/Masters Singles entries. Call to all AZ Advanced and Masters players – please step up and enter.

If we receive 8 Men’s or Women’s entries, we will give them their own division. If not, they will play in the Open Singles division, with Advanced spotting 1 game and Masters spotting 2.

USAPL exhibition – A special exhibition event will demonstrate the exclusive features of the USA Pool League. Please join us as players challenge other players to USAPL match-ups on Saturday, September 3. We will give each contestant a rating and a score sheet, along with tips for scoring and match strategies.

Learning hands on is truly the best way to understand how the USAPL scoring, style of play, and uniquely competitive rating system all come to together so well. USA Pool League players are very enthusiastic about the fact that over 70% of their matches go hill / hill.

CSI is ready to start USA Pool Leagues in the Phoenix area, and all players and League Operators are welcome to stop by to discuss this opportunity to help make pool grow.

The BCAPL swimming pool party – will get the ball rolling 6pm-10pm on Thursday evening, September 1 while we welcome BCAPL members from near and far. This will be an excellent chance to relax with friends, meet new ones, and enjoy appealing drink and food specials.

Southwest Regional Championship ONSITE LATE SINGLES entries

The deadline for onsite entries into Singles divisions will be extended from 3pm to 8pm on Thursday, September 1.

Also, CSI has recently expanded it's dress code to use an A, B, and C definition. We will be using BCAPL Dress Code C for this event:

Fax deadline is extended

The Fax deadline has been extended until at least Monday the 29th for the Southwest Regional. Entries are current and the BCAPL wants to make sure everyone has the last minute chance to enter. Stay tuned for more information. Entries can be view on the BCAPL site www.playbca.com under the events section 2011 SW Regional.
 
I see the Advanced/Master for the Men is pushed over the Threshold and I've gotten word from a few others that they plan on signing up at the end of this week.

That is great news!

The Open event has grown from the 1st year, Yippee!!!!

The 6 & Under is over 55 players, WOW! That is a huge win for Arizona Pool and the BCAPL!
 
Recap of deadlines

The Fax deadline has been pushed back to match the on-line entry date of one week from today, Tuesday August 29th. So, which ever is the easiest for you to complete, take advantage of it,

If you are a real procrastinator, the on-site entry deadline has been extended from 3pm on Thursday the 1st until 8pm. If you cannot get there in person (remember the pool party!) I suggest you get your money to one of the scotch players to enter you. The easiest is still to enter online.

The men's advanced has enough to go off. I hear of a few more still needing to enter so that is kool.

The women's advanced/master is still being discussed and a decision will be forthcoming from the BCAPL.

The numbers are up from last year, but we cannot stop there! We need to show enough support for the Casino to get involved and really make this a great event. Currently the Radisson and the BCAPL are covering the $6000added. I would like to see it grow to $8000 next year and continue on from there.

There is still over a week to get entered, so help spread the word.
 
Sorry was just told for some reason the link for the dress code was not working on the forums, so here is the information for DRESS CODE C for the 2011 BCAPL Southwest Regional Championships:

Dress Code C:

Dress Code C may be used at BCAPL State and Regional events. The event administrators may elect to use Dress Code C.
Matching team shirts are not required.
Shorts and T-Shirts are allowed.
Decent looking athletic pants are allowed. Cotton sweat pants are not allowed.
Applicable to all dress codes is that all apparel must be neat, clean, un-torn and tasteful.

That I a pretty good number for the SIXES, and Under. Wonder if "George the Jump" will register again this year. As he has been MIA for a long time.

Singles will also have a walk-in registry until 8pm on Thursday, Sept 1st.

The 6's and unders lead the race 61-59 over the men's open. Great showing. Monday fax and on-line entry deadline.

Deadline

Tomorrow, Monday August 29th is the fax and on-line entry deadline for both singles and team divisions of the Southwest. As previously stated, the walk-in entry deadline has been delayed to 8pm sharp on Thursday Sept. 1st to allow any last minute players a chance to still get in. The brackets are scheduled to be drawn at 8pm and posted to ctsondemad.com for players to view their start times for Friday.
