Kudos to the billiard club network.

I thought they got it down pretty dammed good this time. There was coverage virtually every time I turned on the puter. The commentators were knowledgeable and fun to listen to, especially Danny D, and it was great for we at the az forums to get to know our on-line friend Jay Helfert. Jay... I really enjoyed your work. In my opinion your commentary was very well done. You came across to me pretty much the same way you have on this site.. as an experienced, knowledgeable, reasonable, intelligent, humorous and decent guy.

I don't think that the picture was "TV Quality", like the BCn was pitching it, but it was a pretty good picture and when I pushed the laptop a few feet away the full screen mode gave me a good picture. Not thrilling, not TV quality, but good enough to be very enjoyable.

I had problems with the picture being choppy the first afternoon and I got pretty emotional about it all and that's on me. I'm emotionally immature and I tend to get out of line when I get frustrated. I've apologized before, vial email and in another thread, but I'll say again that I was wrong and I apologize.

The only thing that comes to mind that bothered me was the lengthy sign-in process every day.... something like six screens to manuver through and each screen had a lot of extraneous "stuff" that complicated the process. I'd like to see that get cut down and simplified before the DCC.

I believe I got my $50 worth and I KNOW I'd do it again. It was wonderful to "be there" to see our boy Shane git'r done. And thanks BCn for staying after the offical ceremonies and letting us see the folks milll around, get autographs etc. It made it kind of like being there. So much so that I saw my young and talented new friend Adam Benhke on the screen so I called his cell # and there I was ..... I WAS there! That sort of completed the process for me. The streaming did take me there so I could truly be a very real part of the joy of sharing in Shane's success.

Congratulations to Shane... again, and also congratulations to BCn.

I agree the coverage, commentators etc... was good. But the video quality was a disapointment, especially after all the hype. I don't even think it was as good as their demo, which I consider bordering on fraud. I really didn't see much improvement over last year, maybe 15% better picture?

Here's a suggestin to BCN...

I know you can't offer the highest stream available because it would be choppy for viewers with slower connections, thus causing you to lose customers. Why not offer 2 links to the stream, one for high-speed broadband and one for slow connections?
