The picture is so choppy for this match w/Efren that it's worthless. Absolutely worthless.

Brutal the would make me crazy, ours was perfect and sound
was great.
Phone BCN,if mine was great then yours should have been as well.

It did make me crazy! They want me to call them. Why in the hell would I wnat to waste money on a long distance call when I"ve already wasted $50 and my afternoon? After the DCC fiasco and now this I'm within minutes of cancelling payment.

so i was just cleaning around the house, and had the volume turned up so i can listen to the feed, since only talking was going on.... then out of nowhere this HUGE LOUD static that scared the crap out of my dog started. I thought my system was frying. Ran to turn it down, tripped over Snowflake (my poor dog) and stubbed my toe (Ouch!) Snowflake told me not to pay for bcn coverage any more. I'll give her a treat, and think it over.

If you have time, here's a little tidbit, check out CSC Global's other customer's websites (pitiful imho).... and note, that SaintBernard (corporate firewall) blocks CanVid.com's site as malicious.

Yeah, that static was annoying, but then the "Show" came on perfectly clear.

There was at "Sports Desk" type interview with John Schmit and then there were interviews with about 15 of the players thought out the playing area.

Wish they would try to say what's coming up next though.

Later, Chris

P.S. Feed just started on the main table.... they are replaying the match from last night... ??? which is in the archives (and working btw)

hey, I found this on their site maybe it might help, plus there is a toll free number
also this is the correct speed test web site
http://tech.msn.com/speedtest.aspx

How can I improve the quality of my video feed?

When playing the live event, if the media player continues to buffer or reconnect or shows only a frame-by-frame "choppy" feed, then there may a problem with the bandwidth. This broadcast is streamed at 350Kbps+ and your bandwidth must be consistently pulling 500Kbps to receive a high-quality video feed.

First, test your bandwidth. For an accurate reading, use a reliable bandwidth-testing website (such as http://tech.msn.com/downloads/speedtest.armx). Bandwidths continually fluctuate, so perform three or more tests. Again, the recommended bandwidth for video is 350K and above. A user connecting below 350K may get the video, but will likely experience choppy feeds. If you are not consistently testing above 350K, you may want to contact your Internet Service Provider.

Note: BCn does not support any specific bandwidth-testing website. .

Lastly, if the above troubleshooting steps do not improve the quality of the feed, heavy Internet traffic may be the problem. In this case, please call Customer Support at 866-774-8770. Please be prepared to provide the following information:

What happened to the Dennis Orcullo vs Cliff Joyner match that was supposed to be shown in the TV table at 9 pm tonight? Instead they are showing the SVB vs Sylver Ochoa match.

They were advertising the Orcullo/Joyner match yesterday and the whole day today. I have nothing against SVB and Ochoa but BcN should not have announced something that they did not deliver.

I'd cut them a little slack on scheduling changes. At least they've got reasonably complete video streaming of matches. Personally, this should be an excellent match between Sylver and Shane. Sylver has been doing really well at tournaments in Texas with strong fields, and I'm sure he'd like to add Shane as a notch in his gun.

OK. I stand corrected. Cliff Joyner has withdrawn from the tournament so Dennis Orcullo advances to the next round.

Per the Azb update
:

Joyner withdraws, Orcollo advances
Fans who were expecting to see a 9pm marquee matchup between Dennis Orcollo and Cliff Joyner were disappointed to learn that Joyner had withdrawn from the event. Orcollo advances to face Michael Dechaine next.

So is the purchase worth the money? I really want to buy the event

Yes, it's definitely worth it now that I've resolved some earlier issues caused by settings in my Windows Media Player.

Problem is, I'm not getting any work done, and doesn't look promising for the rest of the week....:p

I tried to use that link to solve my problems but the link is no good. I did check my bandwidth and it appears to be fine. I gave up and played some pool and 2 hours later went back and everything is fine. How, I wonder, does one explain that?

I appreciate very much the attempt to help me.

I'm the first to complain (though normally warranted) and the last to speak highly of something, but now i'm happy. the initial things seem fixed, couple little ones still lingering, but won't bother me... once the feed kicks in, it's great. smooth, audible, commentating is good. quality is also good. archive matches are working fine now, so that's a big plus for me.

i paid the $50 price, and i have no intention of asking for 1 dime back. (yet :-)

Was your picture choppy? What would have made my pic choppy during the day and yet allowed it to be fine that night? Does that sound like a provider problem.. InsightBB? I checked the band width and got readings around 2500 kbps. I have no idea what that means.

Hee Hee! Right now I'm hiding in a little used office that has a nice computer hooked up. Nobody knows where I am. The door is 2/3 closed and the light is off. Just me and the stream. Life is good! :D

Boy, I'm definitely not knowledgeable in what could affect streaming. I'm not sure why there would be fluctuation in quality. Your bandwidth looks good to me. I think anything over 500kbps should be adequate for the stream.

When I got video to work it was fine and I've not experience any fluctuation in quality once I resolved the green screen issue. Are you on wireless? If so, you could be getting some interference from other users near you.

$50 was the early sign up price. Once the tournament started it went up to $70.

Why does BCN bother to post the schedule of tv matches all day when they do not follow it sometimes? For example, the 3 pm match today is supposed to the Ramil Gallego match but they put Mike Lebron instead.

What will they do next? Show a different match-up at 9 pm tonight instead of the scheduled Neils Feijen vs Corteza match?
