beautiful ginacue on ebay...

What is the significance of it being done before the twin towers were destroyed?

it explains that the cue was done for an exhibition at the smithsonian that was called off after sept 11th

Thanks

Do these cues ever get played with? Are they really great playing cues or are they just for show and considered art?

I have heard that the artistic value is higher than the playing value. I was told that they hit poorly...

Brandon can tell us....

Yeah, the photos are bad... need at least one good close shot of the butt...

I can honestly say that I will never own a Gina. I like some of the designs, but have too many other cues in front of them on my list.

everything being relative, any given cue is going to play like crap to some people. that being said, in my opinion ginacues and cognoscentis are the best playing cues i've ever picked up...

His work is one of the best ever,he's on the trophy that was on display at valley forge for the cuemakers's hall of fame and he was the only living cuemaker I believe. As far as play, they play as good as they look!I have owned 4 or 5,the last being one I bought from bill grassley at the show and never had one of them that didnt feel like magic in my hands. Some of the other names on that trophy were gus, balabushka, and franklin to name some and there were only about 5 or so more. That speaks for itself. There are many artistic cuemakers nowadays but Gina's play top 5 IMO.

yeah ernie was the first cuemaker to be inducted into the cuemakers hall of fame while he was still alive back in 94 i believe, since then dane janes has been the only other.

i'm a gus szamboti fan myself. but did you know that ernie gutierrez (ginacue) built his first cue seven years prior to gus? and that when gus built his first cue in 1969 that ernie was already a highly acclaimed cue maker?

Cogs, Gina's, JW, TW's,etc. are, beyond a doubt, the finest examples of CNC embellished cues available. SW301-93

care to elaborate? pretty general statement that doesnt have a whole lot of meaning.

btw wouldnt it be easier to put the "sw301-93" in your signature instead of retyping it with every post?
