Gronkowski was very very big surprise - wish I had him, lost out on my 1 3 4 7 trifecta box, which seemed like a good bet at the time, like every other horse bet I ever placed! Never lucky at gambling on anything but my own skills.

He had the exacta a few times...paid $89
After running in mud in the other races, no way did I think he would win. But with the trainer putting the fix in. It was a sure thing. The other horse he controlled started very wide, and boxed in all contenders for 3/4 of the race, until it was gassed and fell of a clif.. Made it much easier.:smile:
I didn't think there was anyway he could lose , running in the mud isn't really any harder infact at pimlico it might be easier especially if you can get to the rail and in front ,, people were already saying before the race there might be some funny business .however didn't see anything out of the ordinary, the loser owner claims the other horse ran a block , however that's what jockeys do it's like Nasscar if you can keep the horse behind you blocked in that's what you do sop . I see no evidence of anything other than a great ride by smith , he got out to a quick 1/4 pace to establish the lead at the rail slowed it down to a decent mile that left plenty of horse left for a strong stretch run it was simply a brilliant ride buy a hall of fame jockey, plain and simple
