Beloit, WI - The Carom Room - $1000 Added - Nov 28th - "Open" 8-ball

Don't know how to highlight it so you can just go to it, so.
The question is about changing shafts in a match.

Generally speaking there is no issue changing shafts during a match. Where it can become an issue is when someone "breaks down" a playing cue while there opponent is "on the hill" shooting in an attempt to distract. In that case, the game would be forfeited.

Dave does allow phenolic break tips too.

Tournamnet added money plus big calcutta equals great odds on your money!!

See for yourself this Saturday...

Duane and Dave are great guys, and the Carom room is one of the best pool rooms in the country. Great food (I reccomend the Italian chicken sandwich), great pool tables, and a super atmosphere. There is a large amount of talent and action there too! If you wanna shoot for fun go to the Carom room, if you wanna play cheap sets, go to the Carom room, or if you wanna play some high dollar sets, go to the Carom room! They truly do have it all! I went there a few times, and it made me want to buy a house next to it! lol! Good luck on the tourney fellas.

An outstanding turnout of 72 players for this open event!! I think Black Friday took it's toll on the calcutta but we still had about $6800 in total payouts including $1100+ added.

Please check back to the Carom Room website on Monday or Tuesday for complete results, payouts and tournament lists.

Thanks to all the players & spectators that make this a great tourney :)

boy that chad elston is really somethin! sure looked like he was giving dave a hard time in the tourney tonight :) wonder if a player of his caliber is allowed to play in the no masters events up at the carom room...:eek:

Yeah, he's a young guy who is working hard to elevate his game. He didn't have quite enough to finish off Dave though...

Anyone who finishes twice in the top 4 of the NM events for a season is subject to review by the rating committee.

As usual, it was a great tournament. Friends all had a good time. Cheap food, booze and table time. Can't go wrong with that!

Actually, those who were there would know that it was only 7 players who came back to finish on Sunday. Not bad when you consider there were 72 players to start and the game was 8-ball. I can't even recall how many "safety" games I witnessed that lasted 15 - 20 minutes for a single game

understandable to get some racks like that. You guys run a great tourny and its awesome for pool players to get the pay outs they are getting from these tournys.
