The doors will be open and tables available for free practice starting at 10am. Calcutta starts at noon and NO shooting is permitted on the tournament tables during the call of the calcutta.

This tourney is on the bar boxes (Valley's yet) with red circle cue balls. Plenty of 9' GCs available for side action.

You need to play in at least 1 of the regular events to qualify for the finals. 8-ball & 9-ball finals this season for both divisions.

Hello
Ive never shot in your tournaments but have heard good things about them.Who do I contact if its not you to find out if I can shoot in the no masters events? I am assuming that since I am a A ranked player and not a masters player in the WI BCA I am allowed to play these? Any info would be appreciated. Thanks .Tim Clark. Weston,WI

Hi Tim,

Anyone can contact me here on AZB or Dave Coles by phone at the Carom Room to verify for the "no masters" events. I did see you listed as an "A" in the updated WIBCA ratings so you are definitely qualified for the "no master" events and are welcome to play in the open events too! The first "no master" tourney is on Sept 26th.

Thanks for asking,

Duane

Yes, advance registrations are accepted to hold your spot. Please mail it to the Carom Room, 614 E. Grand Ave, Beloit, WI, 53511. Include a note for Dave to let him know which tournament date.

We definitely have set a limit of 96 players this year so it is a good idea to get there early and register.

Are these 1 day tournaments????

Yes, all regular events are scheduled for 1 day. In the event of a large field the races may be shortened by 1 game at the tournament directors discretion.

All division final events are scheduled for 2 days and the race will not be shortened. You can find this information on the flyer as well.

The new season starts in 3 days!!

Tournament results & player lists will be posted on the Carom Room website within a few days after the event.

These sound like cool events, can you give a link to the list which tells whether you're a master player or not...I have a couple people who want to come with me to one of the events this month but question their status.

There is not just one list and we certainly wouldn't attempt to maintain one. We do however use other lists from BCAPL, ACS, VNEA and state lists in order to make a determination. If a player is not known to us we may look for other tournament results as well as recommendations from people we trust. There are always border-line players and those are the tough ones to place correctly.

That being said, just PM me the names and where they are from and I will let you know asap. I'm assuming you mean for the "no master" events since the open events (like this one) are open to anyone.

You thinking about this weekend? It looks like me and Rasmussen will be making the trip......see if I can't play my way into the one on the 26th!

2 days & counting!!

Even if you don't play come & watch. Anyone can bid & buy players in the calcutta.

roll call

Duane-

I'll be there. I am bringing a buddy as usual. He should be in the no masters, but I am selfish and needed a road partner so I put him together on this one.

See you soon!

Demetrius
