Beloit, WI - The Carom Room - $1500 Added Guaranteed - Feb 6th & 7th - "Open" 8-Ball

This is the open 8-ball barbox finals tournament that features a race to 6/6, no handicaps, big calcutta and $35 entry fee. Open means anyone can play. Ladies play free in all open events.

This is a $1500 guaranteed added regardless of the number of entries.

You must have played in at least 1 of the prior 12 events this season in order to qualify to play in this finals event. We appreciate all the players support this season.

This event is scheduled for two days so please plan accordingly.

The Carom Room features 14 Diamond barbox tables with "pro cut" pockets, good food and plenty of parking.

Duane, after the finals are you going to do another round of tournaments.
If so I guess you will POST another tourny calendar? Unless I have already missed it.

That's a good question. We do take a few months off. A schedule will be worked out in the early summer for next season and I will begin emailing everyone on our contact list. The next season will start in September.
 
This tourney will follow our standard format. Doors open at 10 am for free practice on the tourney tables. Calcutta starts at noon. No practice on tourney tables during calcutta. First round called immediately after conclusion of calcutta.
 
Remember, this is $1500 added guaranteed!!! With the normal calcutta action this will be a strong payout.
 
Played on 14 new Diamond 7' tables with "pro cut" pockets, Simonis 860 HR cloth and Super Aramith Pro balls.

Anyone who has played in an event this season at the Carom Room is eligible. This is an open tourney so anyone & everyone can play. Ladies play for free in this event. :)
 
Weather looks pretty good for this week. Possibly some light snow on Saturday but should not be any problems for travelling
 
Because it's one of the finals, I might come just to donate to a good tourney.
How's the pre-registered going for this one ? Will this one have up to 128 players ?

Yes, we do have a few prepaid entries but nothing like the "no master" events. It seems the "open" fields still aren't getting all the players that could play. The largest field we have had is 72 to date and 45 is the smallest. I'd like to see an even 64.

The added money is guaranteed at $1500 regardless :)

I will be there with bells on! And perhaps with a few traveling buddies...
 
This is the "open" 8-ball finals on Saturday. We will also have an "open" 9-ball finals in March. Same low entry fee & same guaranteed added money.
