Beloit, WI - The Carom Room - $5,000 Added Guaranteed - August 23rd thru 25th

I am terribly confused. The first few post stated it was bca 10 ball but yet it counts on the break? That is def not bca or anyother 10 balls rules I am aware of. Pretty tough to fade on a bar box.

Calcutta

I believe there was just over $27,000 in the calcutta if I am not mistaken. I think the highest was $2,000 for Jesse Bowman. I think Jeremy Jones went for $1900... I went for $20...LOL.

Brackets

Ok, all spots currently paid!!

New additions were Danny Smith, Bobby McGrath Jr & Demetrius Jelatis

any chance of the remaining players bracket being put up on the internet? or if it already is ??? what is the location.

THanks

John Fields

I'm not familiar with the name John Fields.

Can anyone tell me a bit more about him?

I did a player's search on him and he hasn't kicked up that much dust in past years, but he sure played well in this event. He won a nice event, called the Olympian or something like that a while back.

Where is he from?

johnny fields

He lives in neenah wisconsin. He doesn't get out much because he has a family and a job. But he is capable of winning any tourny he plays in If he gets in stroke.

wow, Jess ambles into the poolroom about 30 players into the auction - goes for the highest, wins the mini, and then takes down the main tourney....sounds about right :D

The Carom Room was as good as advertised....look forward to going back

Two and out

Yeah I definitely need to play more to be competitive at this level. I lost both matches I played. The first one, I played Will Freeman and he struggled to adjust to the table. He got there later and did not have time to warm-up before the matches began. I on the other hand had no excuse except I played horribly. I lost that set 9-3. My next match was against Bill Mielke. I lost that one 9-6 but I played better. I struggled the first fewe games and that is what cost me. I played much stronger towards the end and even had a couple of table runs. But, it was too little too late. It is tough to come from behind playing champions.

As always, Duane, Dave, and Carlos put on a great event. The Carom Room is top notch and the equipment is second to none. Matches moved along as scheduled and the food was good. There was action if you wanted it. I will definitely be back again. It was great to see all of the familiar faces. I am hoping I can make the Houston event next month...I spent way too much money on this trip to Wisconsin but I had a ball. I went out in Milwaukee Tues, Thur, Sat, and Sun nights...that adds up pretty quick, LOL! Thanks again guys!!!!!

As always another great event at the carom room. Had a blast, managed to win 2 more matches than I expected to, and got in over my head on the banks ring game. :)
